edit[1] and [2] both say sodomy is not illegal in Venezuela.
Furthermore, Chavez's position on the issue isn't quite clear. The Neo-Liberals claim he's virulently anti-gay:
But his own Socialists paint a different picture:
If it's confirmed that both of these attributed statements are verifiable (from their original Spanish content), perhaps we should make note of the fact that he gives mixed/conflicting messages or not mention him at all.
