editLink to "Norris Lake" in first section is redirected to "Lake Norris" in Florida. This should be fixed to point to the correct entry.--CheMechanical 19:39, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- fixed. --Orlady 04:17, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
This is wrong: "It is also the birth place of noted musician Howard "Louie Bluie" Armstrong." According to Armstrong's Wikipedia article [1], and the New York Times [2], Dayton, Tennessee [3], in Southeastern Tennessee, was actually his birth place, and La Follette was simply where he grew up. --Philster043 (talk) 21:07, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
spelling
editJust a note-- while the Census uses the two-word spelling (La Follette), the town itself appears to use the one-word spelling ("LaFollette"), as indicated on the city's website and the signs around town. Bms4880 (talk) 19:27, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- Can confirm this, I live there. The residents do spell it one word, LaFollette. Makes sense since that's how you spell the last name of the founder, after all. Philster043 (talk) 00:38, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
