Exposed Driver
editThe text mentions that the car's aerodynamics were spoiled by the exposed seating position of the driver. The photograph seems to support this - it looks comical - but on closer inspection the driver is actually sitting on the edge of the car, dangling his feet on the driver's seat. I assume that when the driver was seated properly, only his head and shoulders would be visible. Can someone who has seen the car confirm this? Is there a period photograph of the car being driven as it was intended? -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 11:25, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
There was a photography of Jenatzy actualy driving the car at http://www.mairie-acheres.fr/menu2.htm. Sadly this is a dead link. The front area of the driver seemed roughly equal to the front area of the body. Ericd (talk) 21:04, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- This photo is apparently of an exact replica, so it seems that most of the driver's torso is indeed exposed to the elements.Mr Larrington (talk) 12:56, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Amperes and horsepower
editThe 68hp rating is only correct if each motor draws 124A, otherwise it is only 34hp. Ref doesn't say 2 * 124A. Added fact tag. 70.137.146.192 (talk) 00:48, 24 June 2011 (UTC) French ref says 2*125A. Added as ref from external links. Removed fact tag. 70.137.146.192 (talk) 01:04, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Belgian car
editThe car was made by the Compagnie générale belge des transports automobiles Jenatzy so it is a Belgian car. Funny the article only mentions the nationality of the driver... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.129.43.205 (talk) 19:55, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
