La Resistencia is the armed wing of the Knights Templar?
editI know for a fact that La Resistencia was the armed wing of La Familia Michoacana. And since LFM has been 'replaced' by the Knights Templar, I understand that it can be inferred that La Resistencia is now their armed wing. However, I can't find any sources that concretely prove this by saying that La Resistencia is literally the "armed wing of the Knights Templar."
It can be that La Resistencia only has an alliance with the KT, or that they're a lesser branch of them, but not necessarily their armed wing. Any thoughts?
Alliance with Los Zetas?
editWhat do you make of today's report: [...]“Estos grupos iniciaron una pugna por el control de actividades ilícitas en Jalisco y Colima” y el CJNG impuso su hegemonía, por lo que La Resistencia se alió con Los Zetas, quienes han querido incursionar en Jalisco, operando desde Zacatecas. http://www.eluniversal.com.mx/estados/84853.html My head is spinning. - Hey. My understanding is that La Resistencia is (or was) the armed wing of Los Caballeros Templarios; it is NOT Cárteles Unidos, which is reportedly made up of the Gulf cartel, La Resistencia, and the CJNG.[1] [2] Here's a video and a link from Milenio on August 2011 that talks about the possible alliance between the Zetas and La Resistencia [3] [4] By September 2011, the alliance was official, but I do not know if the ties between the two groups is solely in the state of Jalisco. - I wonder if there are/was 2 different groups called Resistencia. BatteryIncluded (talk) 00:07, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
