Proposed merge of Permatemp with Labour hire

Hello Onel5969, I disagree that this article refers to the same concept. 'Permatemp' is a U.S. term for a temporary employee who works for an extended period for a single staffing client. 'Labour Hire' refers to employees that have a contract of employment with employer A, but performs their work at the workplace of employer B. Labour hire employees need not be employed 'for an extended period, for a single staffing client'. Jack4576 (talk) 14:32, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

If one page of the two need be the target page, it should be Labour Hire, rather than Permatemp; as labour hire is already international in focus; and permatemp is merely a US-only term to describe that particular form of employment. Perhaps Permatemp can be incorporated into a heading within the Labour hire article; if indeed a merger is deemed desirable. (I think a merger is a bad idea, as it seems pretty clear to me the article is about two different employment concepts. Jack4576 (talk) 14:32, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

I'm swayed by Jack4576's arguments, as well as Google Scholar results for "labour hire". I would note, however, that the article as written is largely original research, inferring claims about the topic from sources that do not fully back them.
