Meaning
edit"Lac qui Parle is a French translation of the native Dakota name, meaning "lake which speaks""
I understand the French, but how does/did it "speak"? Lapping of the waves? Something more exotic or legendary? --MacRùsgail (talk) 18:10, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
Height of Dam?
editIt would be interesting to note the "Height of the dam"; that is, what is the nominal (or typical) difference between the water at the top of the dam versus the bottom? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dan Aquinas (talk • contribs) 17:52, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
