RE: Lady Iris' offspring

edit

In the past, there was listed as a child of Lady Iris a certain "Grania Mountbatten." I am a genealogist and historian, and I specialize in this subject, and I can tell you now, Lady Iris never, *NEVER* had a child named "Grania Mountbatten." Her only child was one Robin Bryan, born of her second marriage. So, if in future, someone lists "Grania Mountbatten" again, it is complete nonsense and must be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lordmarmont (talkcontribs) 00:25, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. We're trying, inasmuch as the assertion is completely unsourced and the edit summary request notes that the allegation is being deleted for lack of reliable sourcing. But the rumour continues to be re-inserted. FactStraight (talk) 19:12, 21 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
The repeated insertion of unsourced contentious material in a BLP is forbidden, as is edit warring. The talk page should be used to resolve disputes. Rhode Island Red (talk) 19:06, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

youngest great grandchild of Queen Victoria

edit

Was Lady Iris the youngest great-grandchild of Queen Victoria? The nearest others I'm seeing are Alexander Ramsay of Mar, born in 1919, Prince Friedrich Josias of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, born 1918, and Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich of Russia, born in 1917. Am I missing someone? Is this fact worth mentioning in the article? john k (talk) 08:37, 26 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
