I recently came across this article on Wikipedia about Lafave Newspaper Features. I am the son of the Lafave who ran the newspaper features, and in fact I myself ran the syndicate for a year or so after my father's death in 1962 until we wrapped it up. This article is interesting, and while I can't guarantee every fact other than what I point out in the next two paragraphs, I didn't notice any obvious factual errors.

The biggest error in the article was the spelling of the name Lafave (which have now been mostly corrected). Our family spells it with a small "f," and I believe that spelling was adopted by my grandfather who must have anglicized the name when he moved to the United States from Quebec in the 1880s.

Although the article lists many of the features syndicated by my father, they omit one famous feature, which is the Australian Sunday page titled "Ginger Meggs" created by the well-known Australian newspaper man and cartoonist, Jim Bancks. My father simplified that feature to just "Ginger" for its distribution in the United States.
