width, surface, volume...
editCurrently in the article, the size of the lake is said to be: Max. length 7 km
Max. width 2 km
Surface area 28.47 km2
Max. depth 8.6 m
Water volume 16,161 hm3 (3.877 cu mi)
This does not add up. A surface max 7km in length and 2km in width cannot have a surface of 28km2. A rectangle of 2*7 km would have 14km2, any bigger and either length or width is bigger than "max". With 14km2 and 8.6m average depth, volume would be 0,12 km3 and thats about 0,03 cubic miles. With 8.6 being the max. depth, volume would be even smaller. So, the numbers of 16,161 hm3 (whatever that is, 100*100*100??) "or" 3.877 don't add up either.
At least some of the numbers are seriously wrong. According to Google Maps length and width are at least in the ballpark, so probably area and volume are wrong. Who has got better information? --Schnederpelz (talk) 14:45, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
