Outlets
editI am confused. From what I know, Lake Tikitapu has no outlets or tributaries, so how can Lake Tarawera be filled with water from Lake Tikitapu? Think this warrants some checking out Soapopera 00:51, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Eruption
editSome books say the eruption occured on June 10 while others state June 11. This article could be enlarged with information about this volcanic eruption.
Google books lists many books on the subject like: Geology of To-Day; A Popular Introduction in Simple Language. A fascinating geological event this is.

Geology
editTried to improve with references as article was very misleading even implying Pink and White Terraces were buried beneath the lake and did not deal well with the outlet changes which have even had significant impact as recently as 1904. I suspect the Pink and White Terrace section was added after request for more information about volcanic eruption above but there is a higher quality article on this at 1886 eruption of Mount Tarawera or Pink and White Terraces. Water Flows
editThis like all articles of the lakes in its catchment needs updating with water flow and catchment data from White, P; Toews, M; Tschritter, C; Lovett, A (2016). "Nitrogen discharge from the groundwater system to lakes and streams in the greater Lake Tarawera catchment GNS Science Consultancy Report 20151108" (PDF). Retrieved 26 August 2023.. I am going to start with the peripheral lakes (Lake Rotomahana already done) and work in as this article will need the most work.ChaseKiwi (talk) 11:49, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
