- I've checked the source, it is a valid reference. That said, it only makes sense to people who are familiar with survey maps, another source might be better for the general public. Nerfer (talk) 04:19, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
Redevelopment plans and sources
editIt appears the citation for references is primarily because of the section on redevelopment plans. The opening paragraph of that section isn't even directly about that subject, instead it's about the re-routing of Route 22, which is kind of a precursor, and then talks about the silt spill. That was kind of a big deal for a couple months, but it's not really relevant any more. I haven't heard anybody local mention it for years. I think this section should be updated and possibly shortened, and this time include references. Any comments? Nerfer (talk) 04:26, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

Alpine Festival
editHello!
I am new to editing on Wikipedia, so please correct me if I am doing this incorrectly, but I grew up in Lake Zurich and one of my fondest memories was the annual Alpine Festival.
I'd like to add to the history section something about the festival. I found a source that says the Alpine Festival "began in the summer of 1942, partly in celebration of the victories of World War II, volunteer and service organizations came together to establish what we know today as Alpine Fest. The Lions Club with it's newly established park in downtown Lake Zurich afforded a prime location for this event." https://www.lzlions.com/lzlions_005.htm#:~:text=July%2022nd%2C%2023rd%20%26%2024th,know%20today%20as%20Alpine%20Fest. or https://chicago.cooperatornews.com/article/lake-zurich-illinois#:~:text=In%20the%20summer%20of%201942,few%20carnival%20games%20and%20rides.
