Requested move 26 August 2024
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: no consensus. No consensus, to enable a future RM to look at this again if needed, as many responses have noted that it's too soon to decide on a primary topic, due to the recency of the Olympic event that has affected the pageviews for Lam Dorji (archer).
Lam Dorji (general) was noted as a viable alternative, but there does not appear to be a consensus to move the article, especially given the argument that the general may be the primary topic. (closed by non-admin page mover) ASUKITE 14:16, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
Lam Dorji → Lam Dorji (military personnel) – no clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC Joeykai (talk) 23:21, 26 August 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. ASUKITE 14:37, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support the archer has 245 views compared with only 148[[1]] for the military personnel. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:34, 27 August 2024 (UTC)

- Oppose. Clear primary topic by long-term significance over the brief article on the archer. Of course he has more views - he's just competed in the Olympics (in which he came 28th!)! Pure WP:RECENTISM. But otherwise, it should be Lam Dorji (general). I can't believe that nobody above has noticed the bizarre proposed disambiguator! "Personnel" is plural and we never use this sort of thing as a disambiguator. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:17, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose, too soon. Page view analysis shows that any notability from Lam Dorji (archer) would most likely be a result of the 2024 Summer Olympics. A hat note disambiguator will suffice, at least until we can show sustained interest such that the nominators "no clear PRIMARYTOPIC" argument stands. Bobby Cohn (talk) 00:49, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

- Oppose as proposed, no objection to Lam Dorji (general). 162 etc. (talk) 15:30, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose Too soon - WP:RECENTISM. If necessary, Lam Dorji (general) would be heaps better. Cinderella157 (talk) 02:52, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
