Is "military" qualifier appropriate for the title? If not, move to "Land navigation"

Typically, navigating a vessel or an aircraft constitutes piloting it along straight-line segments between waypoints, whereas land navigation may constitute constant change of course around objects. Also, land navigation is not solely a military pursuit. I recommend simplifying the title to "Land navigation" per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, since there is no other more general type described in WP that needs to be disambiguated. Reverse azimuth on compass

edit

This note may well be misplaced, but it struck me while watching a video on the topic of land navigation that the simplest way of finding the reverse azimuth, is by simply putting the other end of the arrow "in the shed"...

In other words, if your azimuth is found by putting North in the alignment of the bezel ring, simply turn around until it is the South-pointing arrow that aligns with the bezel markings... Autokefal Dialytiker (talk) 21:33, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
