sword repair guy
editshouldn't there be a mention that the sword repair guy's name is claremont. which is possibly a refrence to x-men scribe chris claremont. also it kind of looked like him so i'm unsure if it was also a cameo like when stan lee apeared or they just got an actor who looked like claremont.
- We can throw it into the trivia section for now till we can get a source for such a reference. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ytoabn (talk • contribs) 02:36, 15 May 2007 (UTC).
- Incorrect. This article cannot have a trivia section, per WP:TRIV. Also, i'm not sure it's notable or if it would pass original research standards to include such infomation. dposse 13:35, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- We can find the actor easily enough, and a mention of the actor who played a character is usually justified. If Mr. Claremont played a character named after himself, that would probably be better mentioned as an item on Claremont's page. A link to his page (as the actor) would tie it in here. Of course, this assumes he was the actor - which, though possible, I'm sure we would have heard something about it in the pre-show press. We knew about Stan Lee's cameo well in advance, for example. Linderman
editCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain that DL killed Linderman, and did not simply "hurt" him. Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions, but it would seem to me that a punch through the skull and into the brain is a fairly debilitating injury, and I'm willing to say that it's a fatal blow. Thus, correction made. (Jackmjenkins 15:23, 15 May 2007 (UTC))
Seemed to me like he phased his fist into his head and un-phased, but I agree with the end result, namely death. Blkmasta 8.13 am GMT, 15/5/07
Indeed Bikmasta. I thought that was implied in what I said - my bad. (Jackmjenkins 15:23, 15 May 2007 (UTC))
- Because Linderman's power is healing we're not sure if he can heal himself from this injury. We simply have to wait for the next episode to figure out what to label it. Ytoabn 12:02, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- DL had blood and brain matter in his fist when he removed it from Linderman's head. At the very least, that's a debilitating injury - but might not mean death. Unless the actor confirms his demise in an interview, I agree - We should leave it, for now. ZZ 12:30, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
DL isn't dead. The plot summary now says DL died from Linderman's shot. I don't believe that is true. DL was in the preview for next week, for example. (User tburket)
Images
editIs anyone going to add an image from the episode to this page? This is still being done on the individual episode pages isn't it? annoynmous 11:52, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think we're having problems with copyright stuff. Ytoabn 12:01, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Someone should add the last shot of Sylar muttering 'Boom" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.167.23.49 (talk • contribs) 09:30, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
I added that image from the end easytiger 16:31, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Heh. probably not the best shot, but it'll do. Make sure that a Fair Use description is added, unless you want the picture to be deleted. dposse 16:38, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Does anyone think that picture is a spoiler?
- Yes, but it illustrates the episode very well. I'd vote not to change the picture, even though it is a spoiler. - JNighthawk 23:48, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Plot
editAs with previous Heroes episodes, the plot needs a cleanup. Remember the section is supposed to be a summary of the plot, not an episode recap. I'm tempted to delete it all as a rewrite is what is needed - but I'll wait until the morning. -- Chuq (talk) 13:39, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- That is completely unnecessary. Do not forget that this is wikipedia, and everyone can contribute to making this article better. Please, do not give anyone here an ultimatum about what you want done with this article. Yes, i agree that this article needs to be condensed, but threatening to delete everything is wrong. Give us time! We will all contribute and we will all make this article into a great one, as long as we are able to do it. dposse 14:05, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Indeed, Chuq. Do not play God with the wikiverse. It will not respond kindly. (Jackmjenkins 15:23, 15 May 2007 (UTC))
- Let's not blast a long-time good contributor... after all, it is an entirely valid observation, and Chuq certainly wasn't "threatening" or delivering "ultimatums". Keep in mind that we're using text, not speech, and as such it is very easy to just see the words, rather than the intent behind them. --Ckatzchatspy 18:58, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- "I'm tempted to delete it all as a rewrite is what is needed - but I'll wait until the morning" sounds very much like both a threat and an ultimatum. I respect Chuq, but demanding that something be done within 24 hours or he'll delete everything sounds like he owns the article. Perhaps he didn't intend for it to sound like that, but that's the impression i got. We will clean this article up, but we will clean it up together. It might take weeks to do it, but it'll get done. dposse 22:08, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

I disagree. This is a well-written recap. Why should it be chopped up into a short summary? I never understand people who want to remove information from Wikipedia. The summaries for Heroes are a good length. The episodes usually have complex plots, and a short summary is not sufficient. These recaps do not include trivial details; the detail included is necessary to understand the entire episode. You can find a short summary of the episodes anywhere on the internet, but one of the nice things about Wikipedia is to be able to read a complete recap, especially for those who missed an episode or did not understand part of the plot or one of the scenes. --musicpvm 22:53, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Pretty much because this is an encyclopedia, and it would violate copyright to have a long play-by-play of the episode. All this episode needs is condensing of some of the infomation. We've done it before and we can do it again. All we need is some time. dposse 23:10, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Ooops. Looks like I've been taken the wrong way. I wasn't going to delete and leave nothing - I was going to rewrite from scratch. I can understand how I would be misinterpreted though, sorry! I wasn't trying to own the article, as the suggestions were as per Wikipedia guidelines, not as per my own! -- Chuq (talk) 02:25, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Even writing from scratch is unnecessary. We have a well written summary now which hits all the important plot points. All we must do now is to condense it. We can probably shorten this article by a third if we try. What i'm trying to say, Chuq, is that we take what we have and work with it, mold and shape it as we did with past episode articles. dposse 12:41, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- When I first posted the initial comment, wording such as "There stands Sylar, expertly playing with his nueclear power. With a satisfied smile on his face and his eyes on the glittering city lights beneath him ..." stuck out like a sore thumb. A lot of it has been fixed now, of course, so my initial comment won't be that relevant when reading the current version. -- Chuq (talk) 13:01, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
two shots or three?
editDidn't Bennet shoot Thompson three times? i thought i heard three shots. dposse 23:21, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- It was BANG BANG *Thud*. Two shots. ZZ 00:29, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Really? Huh. I thought i heard BANG BANG *thud* BANG, as he shot him again. oh well. i guess i was mistaken. ill rewatch it when it comes on the SciFi Channel on Friday. dposse 00:41, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- GOSH! it was BANG *thud* phasy thingy and dead..well i think it was that172.130.207.109 23:56, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- Twice. I just watched the episode. - JNighthawk 23:48, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
42
editMaybe I'm reading too far into things, but does anyone else think that placing Maggie on the 42nd floor was a nod to Douglas Adams, and if so does it deserve a mention in the article? TJSwoboda 04:05, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- She's called Molly and without a mention on "Heroes Unmasked" or some other official source, that would be original research and inadmissible. - 87.211.75.45 19:02, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
That One Song
editWill somebody please tell me the name of the song playing near the end of the episode, during Nathan's victory party, around the time his wife is talking about how she wants to get up out of the chair? If it helps, the song's lyrics are something like, "it's alright, now, baby, it's alright now." Please respond on this!!!!!!!!!!!
- It's 'All Right Now' by the English band 'Free'. Kwadrat007
- Yes indeedy, though you may have heard it played by Bad Company as well, as Paul Rodgers was/is in both bands. TJSwoboda 02:23, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
maybe I'm wrong about this, but...
editSomething stuck out like a sore thumb to me regarding "Dallas" Petrelli -- so I went back and watched Landslide, and read the comics again... although here and in the character lists it is said that he was revealed to have a power, I think this is in doubt; Linderman says that Mr. Petrelli was "one of us"/"someone with great power" which COULD mean he was super-powered, but could also mean that he is similar to Kaito Nakamura (as far as been openly shown up to now). By that I mean that he may have been the Bennet-style non-powered half of the original team that started the Company... any thoughts?
Total?
edit"The total viewership for this episode was 11.54 million" Are we talking the US, more countries, which countries? The episode has yet to be shown in the Netherlands, so the viewership will go up after tonight if it's truly a "total". This needs clarification and sourcing. If it's just the US - shame on whoever wrote it. Considering the US viewership a "total" is about as US-centric as you can get. - 87.211.75.45 19:05, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Voices
editMicah clearly "hears" something as he manipulates the voting machine. I don't have the know-how to isolate the audio, but it sounds like voices that build to screams. Is he hearing the future repercussions of his actions, i.e. the "bomb" and thousands of deaths? If so, how is he doing this?Thebookpolice (talk) 05:46, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds a bit like speculation to me, I'm sure there is a sound, but it's just an effect to demonstrate that he's doing something. I'll go back and listen to it on the computer this evening - but without any source stating that it's regarding the bomb, I'm not sure how relevent it is... --WORM | MЯOW 12:05, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
