Managing Career
editFrom memory, in the early to mid 90s Lanny Poffo was a manager in the then WWF. I can remember him managing the Beverly Brothers when they were feuding with the Legion of Doom. Is this the same Genius? Surely there should be some mention in there about that. Does anyone know of remember any details? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Thebandweekly (talk • contribs) 01:15, 9 January 2007 (UTC).
- Yes it's the same guy. 90.197.251.194 16:31, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Birth/Death
editThere's no death for this guy and it says he was born in 1854, consequently the info box at the head of the page states that he is 154 years old!!!! I looked it up, and he's actually born in 1954, so I'm putting that in.
As an aside, someone should do a search and find out who the the "oldest" person featured in Wikipedia is. Know that Lanny Pofo was once 154 years old. 64.174.68.114 (talk) 22:46, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Randy's death
editShould the death of Randy be mentioned here? (was but was removed because it was "irrelevant") TySoltaur (talk) 14:16, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- His death isn't relevant in this article. Unless it comes out that Lanny is significant;y impacted professionally or personally by his brother's death and a story develops around it, there's no need for it here. In the current version mentioning the "late wrestler ... Randy Savage" seems significant. The article isn't about Randy and those details should be left for his article. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 14:47, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- That's fine. I just thought not mentioning at all would be insensitive. TySoltaur (talk) 15:34, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Is "Jewish" a nationality now... or then?
editWhy is his father, Angelo Poffo, described in the order of Heritage/Nationality/Religion but his mother, Judy, is described as Religion/Nationality?
- Because that is the only information we have on her. --Khajidha (talk) 18:23, 21 October 2019 (UTC)
- Judaea/Judah was a country, the Southern Hebrew Kingdom. Judaism was the national religion, the cult of Yahweh at the Temple in the capital Jerusalem. "Jewish" is a synonym for Judaean. The combination of strict boundaries to admission to Judaism and a history of marginalisation had maintained that continuity of identity up to the present. And no, I didn't put that in the article, I'm just a passing editor.Romomusicfan (talk) 09:46, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
Date of death?
editDoes anyone know exactly when Lanny Poffo died? I still haven't found a singe source that specifically mentions a date of death. Just because the death was announced on February 2, doesn't necessary mean that he died that day. Does anyone out there have any more information? 194.69.14.132 (talk) 07:50, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
