Son's name

I've seen this page altered and then reverted at least twice about this. Can anyone provide a source for his last son's name?

Wikiquote

Since the articles name has been changed to Larry Mullen Jr. the original wikiquote page link is now wrong. I can't seen to figure out how to revert this. The wikiquote page was made under this articles previous name Larry Mullen. Underneath-it-All 18:45, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

Infamous??

Please explain how a notice asking people to join as it turns out to be one of the biggest rock bands of the last 25 years be considered infamous?

Roman Catholic

Is it really that relevant that he's the only member of U2 who is a baptised Roman Catholic that that needs to be included in the first line of the article? It would be better further down, in background somewhere. Willnz0 02:29, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Lawrence or Laurence?

The Book "U2 by U2" spells Larry's full name as "Laurence" and in the dedications/thanks pages at the end, Larry dedicates the book to "My parents Laurence and Maureen Mullen and to my sister Mary."

The two major American perfoming rights organizations (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers [1] and Broadcast Music Incorporated [2] consider his first name to be spelt Laurence. Plagiarism

On comparing to the text of this article to my own bio of Larry, I see that some of it has been copied here virtually word for word, particularly in the 'Personal' section. I don't object to this particularly but it would be nice if I was credited for it. If it was indeed plagiarised it would be a problem. On the other hand, it would not be the first time that a web-site has copied info from wikipedia and then someone pointed out that the two were very similar. Although this anon IP Is claiming that it is his website. Perhaps give this person the benefit of the doubt and cite his site - and then re-write the section as it could be a lot better. If you look at the history of the text of the page, 75% of the text was lifted directly from @U2. Subsequent revisions have given it its own identity, but I'd suggest that both biographies were derived from @U2 as an original source (Certainly based on the age of each page). Besides, how many different ways are there of telling the same story? Having said that, I love how Merbabu suggest that the solution to a plagiarism claim is to rewrite the section... what is the wikipedia policy on taking a plagiarized article and simply running each word through a thesaurus to make it "original content". It is sad that Wikipedia doesn't allow external links to the fan sites that it steals most of its material from (Most U2 fan sites are far superior to the two official links presented on the U2 wikipedia page). Larry a smoker?

Is this true? I didn't think any of the u2 members smoked anymore. Is there a source that confirms this? Peter2012

In U2 by U2, Paul McGuinness said that he and Adam quit, and the other three smoke. Phillies26 02:08, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

and there was a staged studio picture of the band a month or two ago in Q magazine - Larry is smoking - what a doofus! ;-) For citation purposes, I think it was Jan or Feb addition, or was it March?? - the issue where they discussed the new album. Merbabu 13:34, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

The article looks great. Just a few observations: 1.) Is it possible to add actual content to the "awards" section? (For example, a summary of all the awards won by the group) 2.)
