Dates of construction

edit

While researching these towers for improving this article, I came across conflicting sources with regards to when the Lascaris towers were constructed:

  • Lippija Tower - 1637[1][2] or 1647[3]
  • Għajn Tuffieħa Tower - 1637[1] or 1647[3]
  • Blat Mogħża Tower - mid-17th century[4]
  • Nadur Tower - 1637[1] or 1647[3]
  • Qawra Tower - 1637[2] or 1638[1]
  • Sciuta Tower - 1638,[1] 1640[2] or 1647[3]
  • St. George's Tower - 1638[1]

Which dates are correct? For now, I went with the 1637 for the first four towers and 1638 with the remaining three towers.

All sources seem to agree that St. Agatha's Tower, Xlendi Tower and Dwejra Tower were constructed in 1647-49, 1650 and 1652 respectively.Xwejnusgozo (talk) 18:37, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
