Illustrations?

edit

Long ago, I remember seeing a book in my school library that depicted man through several possible future evolutions. I'm convinced this must have been it. It had page after page of incredible and well draw depictions of each state of man. Can anyone link to a website with pictures? Or can someone give me a link with ANY site that tries to illustrate a possible future evolution of man?

Fair use rationale for Image:Lastandfirstmen firstedition.jpg

edit

Image:Lastandfirstmen firstedition.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Arthur C. Clarke

edit

You may want to add Arthur C. Clarke as an author that was significantly influenced by Stapledon and his work. Pcarbonn (talk) 18:35, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Description of the Species of Men

edit

The history of the Species is good as far as it goes, but it concentrates on physical appearance; Stapledon devotes far more space to their characters: the altruism of the Second Men, the joie de vivre of the Seventh/Flying Men, etc.CharlesTheBold (talk) 20:34, 8 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

This entire section strikes me as an excess of WP:PLOT. Want warrants its inclusion at such length? It would essentially take ~a paragraph or two to summarize the continuing cycle of development, destruction, and rebirth across generations. Any reason not to trim it down? --EEMIV (talk) 00:59, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Transhumanist books

edit

This novel is one of the earliest and best examples of this category, but it does not appear on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Transhumanist_books — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.118.202.234 (talk) 04:16, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Film Adaptation

edit

The section should probably mention that is not a conventional feature film (I've seen it), but more in the realm of multimedia/audiobooks.
