editRegarding reference no.1 to the article, this is pure semantics and disregards the actual usefullness and purpose of the term "latent human error" in practice. It also states, wrongly, that the term refers to errors that have yet to manifest themselves and that the intended meaning refers to errors that have already occurred. In practice the term refers to procedural errors that have become apparent due to human errors that already have occurred and that aircraft operators need awareness of in order to prevent these errors from repeating themselves in the future. The goal in aviation safety work is that this knowledge leads to changes in procedures and systems in order to prevent the same errors from reoccurring. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kroede (talk • contribs) 17:51, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

editTitle sentence is unclear, needs to be more generalized and straightforward. I changed it slightly. There is not enough information in general. If an additional article "active human error" can be added, it would be great to link it in the "see also" section. In the mean time, I believe it would be beneficial to briefly add the term. I added a citation. Abmay28 (talk) 17:51, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
Could somebody add an example?
editIt would help less clever readers (such as me) understand what we are talking about. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lamusiqueduhasard (talk • contribs) 11:52, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
