Quick Review

edit

After an invite to look this over I had a couple of small comments. On the whole a really interesting article which i enjoyed very much.

  • Although the article states the Laud reserved the right to appoint the professor in his lifetime, it might be worth mentioning that other than with Pococke he never exercised it as he died some 46 years before the chair became vacant again.
  • Slightly awkward phrasing in the first paragraph of "Professors". We're told that Margoliouth reapplied, but up to that point we didn't know he'd applied the first time. Would scan better along the lines of "When the board resumed in 1889, one of the previous applicants, David Margoliouth, re-applied for the position". I know he's mentioned in the section above, but without dates and in a very different context. Maybe Its just a thought - perhaps I'm being too picky.
