Tyacke reference

edit

Replaced this Tyacke (Russell) reference (Nicholas Tyacke, 'Puritanism, Arminianism and Counter-revolution', Conrad Russell (ed.), The Origins of the English Civil War. MacMillan, 1st ed., 1973. ISBN 0333124006 ) with an identical reprint available on Google books (Todd). --Lexein (talk) 11:24, 29 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tone

edit

The tone of this article in many places is odd: without adopting polemical or anathematizing language, it seems to be patiently explaining why Laudianism is unacceptable from a Calvinist point of view (and why the Calvinist point of view is the more historic and authentic one of the Elizabethan Church...). That's as may be, but would it be more appropriate to move these points to a "criticisms" section, or a "relations with Puritans" section or some such? Q·L·1968 20:58, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

This has been corrected. Dr.Decapod (talk) 23:11, 31 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
