- Success! Just a note, you have to scroll down to actually see the content, but it works. --1990'sguy (talk) 16:32, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Sourcing
edit@Jackernest: Please, stop making unsourced edits to the article. See WP:V for more info on sourcing. Vanjagenije (talk) 19:11, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
Sorry sir or madam, im not making unsourced edits, I work for MCP and chakwela Dr Chakwera is my party leader, I've been making edit to this page for 4 years, why are you telling me this now?? Contact me at MCP Office in city center if you need further information, ask for jack Ernest. Thank you.. longrider27 19:40, 24 June 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackernest (talk • contribs)
- @Jackernest: In that case, you shouldn't directly edit this page because you have a WP:conflict of interest (COI). COI editing is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. Vanjagenije (talk) 23:56, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
- Conflict of interest with who exactly, and why conflict of interest now when I've been editing this for years?? At the same time having up to date information about the individual directly from his office.
If you really know what you are talking about exactly why don't you call in the office. Are you a Malawian and living in Malawi with up to date information?? longrider27 05:57, 25 June 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackernest (talk • contribs)
- @Jackernest: Did you bother to read WP:COI? Conflict of interest means that your interests are conflicting, not tat you have conflict "with someone". And, I don't say that you have a conflict of interest now, you had it from the very beginning, just nobody noticed it. Since I am administrator here, I know exactly what I am talking, don't worry for that. Having "up to date" information is, of course, good, but is not important. Neutrality is much more important. Wikipedia is based on the synthesis of previously published material, so anyone can use the published info to update the article. You should refrain from directly editing article about topics you are personally connected to. Vanjagenije (talk) 07:42, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera (born 5 April 1955) is a Malawian politician who is the 6th President of the Republic of Malawi. He is the Leader of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) following highly controversial elections held in Malawi on 21 May 2019, which he and other opposition figures successfully disputed in court and new presidential elections were ordered by the court. He was President of the Malawi Assemblies of God from 1989 to 14 May 2013. ImagoDei265 (talk) 19:05, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

Any picture available?
editIs there any way we can get a picture of Chakwera to include in the infobox? The page of the recent election looks very strange with no picture of the winning candidate! 314WPlay (talk) 12:06, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
When was he born?
editThe article states at the top that we has born on 8th August 1955, then a few lines later (under Personal Life) it states that he was born on 5th April 1953. One of these statements must be wrong. Linxit (talk) 06:45, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
