The result of the move request was: León María Guerrero moved to León María Guerrero (botanist) and León María Guerrero III moved to León María Guerrero (diplomat). Nominator successfully demonstrates that León María Guerrero, without the III, is the diplomat's WP:COMMONNAME; however, there was skepticism that the diplomat is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for the name. Given the overall low participation, a new RM may be started at any time if a user feels that this discussion overlooked relevant information. – I am requesting a move of the younger's article to León María Guerrero as per WP:COMMONNAME.
There are two LM Guerreros, the elder (botanist) and the younger (diplomat). From the sources I've gathered, it is usually the younger who is referred to as "León María Guerrero" (or Leon Maria Guerrero, as modern Filipino orthography rarely uses diacritics):
- Today Began Yesterday by León María Guerrero (1975)
- Philippine Diary Project refers to the younger without the III
- The Diplomat-Scholar: A Biography of Leon Ma. Guerrero
- Wikisource refers to the younger as s:Author:Leon Maria Guerrero
In contrast I have not been able to find contemporary sources that use "León María Guerrero" to refer to the elder. Poppytarts (talk) 01:43, 26 February 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. BilledMammal (talk) 10:57, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- Relisting comment: Relist, to discuss whether either of the two are the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC BilledMammal (talk) 10:57, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- Comment, why not use disambiguator (botanist) and (diplomat) instead, maybe there's no PRIMARY.--Ortizesp (talk) 18:19, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
