Le Flore County, Oklahoma → LeFlore County, Oklahoma – An IP recently changed "Le Flore" to "LeFlore" within the article. They did a global replace are broke several links, so I reverted it. Their justification was that "LeFlore is one word - see LeFlore County websites". I haven't found any central county website, but there related ones such as the tax office and the Sheriff's dept. that don't have a space - which lends credibility to that postition. Other places, like the US Census (see sources in the article) have the space.
We have inconsistent usage in other titles - LeFlore County Courthouse and Cedar Lake (Le Flore County, Oklahoma), It also shows up in section headings of other articles and various categories. I'm not sure which way it should be, but everything should be made consistent.
This potentially goes beyond this one article, but is seems to me like discussing it here is best and then applying the outcome broadly to all occurrences of LeFlore County, Oklahoma throughout the project. MB 16:59, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

- Support as the sheriff's office uses that name. cookie monster 755 06:03, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
- Support given this WP:NCGN clause: If no name can be shown to be widely accepted in English, use the local name. Since this seems to be the case here, we thus default to the local usage (without a space). — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 04:27, 30 October 2022 (UTC)
