editHi, I am a professor of psychology who knows a fair amount about the topic (full disclosure: the authors of this Wikipedia page are my graduate students). I am surprised to see the argument that this page falls afoul of the notability requirement. I have re-read the Wikipedia guidelines on notability, and I still do not see why this would not be considered a notable topic. Incidentally, a google search for "leader development" yields 4,990,000 hits (from a variety of sources)--seems like a pretty notable topic! If you could explain your rationale and suggest what changes might be necessary (short of deletion), I am sure the students would make a good-faith effort to alleviate your concerns. Thanks for your consideration.
Updates to leader development page
editI have meade several updates to the leader development page and have therefore removed the deletion notice. I have included a more clear definition on leader development, attempted to reduce/remove any jargon present, and posted a clearer distinction between leader development and leadership development. I have also added a section on the application of leader development and have included several external links that are related to leader development. If there are any additional improvements that might improve this article please let me know.Psycstudent (talk) 19:23, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

I propose that this article, Leader development, be merged into Leadership development. This one is a POV fork of the other. Bearian (talk) 20:04, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
