Why does this article positively refer to statutory rape?

The secondary paragraph in the History and Application of this article should be entirely cut. Dan Savage's sex-advice column has exceptionally little to do with the actual phrase, as does the contrarian line that ends paragraph one of this section. It's like searching for an article about shoes and having some mention that somebody once said you should never wear them. That the article also refers to an older woman sleeping with a high-school boy as if it's a positive experience, while being the very definition of statutory rape, is outrageous.

It is staggering how such a well-known phrase is saddled with such an improper article. The page for Little Red Riding Hood doesn't link to someone's porn adaptation, nor should this page refer to any sort of sexualized content. The reference to the play is not "positive", it is merely an accurate description of the play. Savage's rule is an iteration of the principle examined in this article, and is therefore relevant. The solution to the perceived "improper" content here is not to eliminate content, but to expand content on other aspects of the issue. BD2412 T 13:57, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
