Mannose?
editI thought it was the Mannose binding pathway. Anyone? Lskatz 17:36, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
yes it is —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.198.229.90 (talk) 12:42, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- I believe "Lectin pathway" is the more common name; the book from Janeway "Immunobiology" also uses this term predominantly. 2A02:8388:1601:E000:BE5F:F4FF:FECD:7CB2 (talk) 17:55, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
Mannose on self molecules
editI know mannose is found on self glycoprotein and proteoglycans. Can someone explain the spacing of mannose molecules on pathogens and how it can activate this pathway while self-mannose containing molecules do not? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.232.173.26 (talk) 18:03, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
Innate response
editJust wondering if this is part of the innate response? My textbook says so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.197.54.33 (talk) 20:41, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Overview of the Pathway
editIn good textbooks like Janeway's Immunobiology, there are good drawings of all 3 pathways and also where they interact with one another (if at all). The Wikipedia articles currently shows no such image. Would it be possible to add it? 2A02:8388:1601:E000:BE5F:F4FF:FECD:7CB2 (talk) 17:55, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
