editYou state that Lee Mavers is "a massive Everton fan." This could imply that he is an Everton fan that is very large in mass; i.e., he is morbidly obese or vastly overweight. - I do, a little, and perhaps the article is now better written.
Just to say, Mavers may not be married to his current partner. He was married, I have no idea what the status of that situation is now.
I don't know anything about Mavers, but I do know that Wikipedia should have citations before making bald statements such as "It is rumoured that at this point he started to indulge too much in various drugs," "an alleged heroin addict," and "[time] likely spent just bringing up his children, rather than anything particularly sinister or noteworthy." --RobertG ♬ talk 14:18, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
