This entry appears to have been written by (or on behalf of) the subject. While possibly notable enough to be included, due to the production of a Tony Award winning musical, most of it appears to be promotional. HillbillyGoat (talk) 04:41, 23 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

So? Is any of it untrue? Someone looking for information on the Goddard Group would get the information they want. Personally I think the entry isn't half as flowery as it could be given all that Goddard has done in his career. I knew of Goddard from my days with The Walt Disney Company, but did not know him there as our dates didn't overlap. Scottca075 (talk) 16:40, 25 June 2013 (UTC) Scottca075Reply

Edits for The Goddard Group

edit

This article has significant problems, as evidenced by the two maintenance tags. I am deleting the "History" text almost entirely, and moving it to the WP page Gary Goddard, unless it is already there (as some of it is). This paragraph is almost entirely about Gary Goddard, the individual, and is more appropriately on his individual page. Also, much of what is said relates to his work while at Landmark Entertainment Group, which has its own WP page. I will look for any historical information which relates specifically to the Goddard Group, which does appropriately belong on this page.Oddjob84 (talk) 22:57, 30 April 2017 (UTC)   DoneReply

Deleted the "Upcoming Projects" heading and contents entirely. There are no references cited, and until these projects are completed and noted by reliable secondary sources, their inclusion is entirely speculative and probably promotional. Oddjob84 (talk) 13:20, 1 May 2017 (UTC)   DoneReply

Deleted "Cancelled Projects and Attractions" heading and contents entirely. It is very poorly referenced, adds nothing to the reader's understanding of this topic, and is probably promotional. Oddjob84 (talk) 13:26, 1 May 2017 (UTC)   DoneReply

Removed "Notability" maintenance tag from Article. I believe the above edits have satisfied the concerns to a reasonable level. The Goddard Group does rise to notability within the themed entertainment industry. Oddjob84 (talk) 13:31, 1 May 2017 (UTC)   DoneReply

Added infobox and populated. Oddjob84 (talk) 20:05, 1 May 2017 (UTC)   DoneReply

I am now in the process of placing the main space heading "Completed Projects and Attractions" into a table for better readability and more usable information. In my first pass, I will preserve all the existing entries as-is. I invite other interested editors to contribute, particularly to the new fields on the table. Please remember to include citations in the "Source" column, as a second pass through this information is likely to turn up some unverified information which may be deleted. Oddjob84 (talk) 15:03, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Dropped in table. Will return soon to finish moving information below up into table. Oddjob84 (talk) 13:50, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Finished Table. Oddjob84 (talk) 18:52, 5 May 2017 (UTC)   DoneReply

Regarding the Completed Projects Table: The information therein has been moved from the old list intact, with only minor changes to accommodate links, the addition of a few dates, and clarifications about project ownership. The remaining (blank) information will require research, and in particular, the citations badly need review, as there are many inconsistencies. Oddjob84 (talk) 19:06, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Why "The Goddard Group?"

edit

Just curious why this page uses "the Goddard Group" and not just "Goddard Group" to address the company. I see that it was copyedited by the guild, so wanted to know why before making any changes. Thanks 125.17.137.51 (talk) 10:17, 6 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
