editI want to suggest that instead of hyperlinking the names of legal aid societies within States in this article, that the States themselves should be hyperlinked. For example, Legal Aid in Virginia.
Then within the article on Legal Aid in Virginia could be listed:
Legal Services of Northern Virginia http://lawhelp.org/program/1569/
Potomac Legal Aid Society, Inc http://www.potomaclegalaid.org/
Virginia Legal Aid http://www.valegalaid.org/VA/index.cfm
One advantage of this is that all of the articles by State could compare legal aid offered by State, if there are any differences. The last site above is better than Wikipedia for finding legal aid. rumjal 14:03, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a link directory (see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not). The solution in compliance with Wikipedia policies is to draft articles for the individual LSC grantees and then link from each article to the grantee's respective Web site. --Coolcaesar (talk) 11:38, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Adding image
editShould the image (and its caption) below be added to the page? I realize it is not a great picture but it does include John Eidleman, who I believe is the former chair of LSC. Let me know your thoughts! Meatsgains (talk) 05:29, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- Any image is a good image for this long, detailed article, and it would illustrate one aspect of what LSC does. But I'm not convinced that Eidleman was ever a chair - or if he was, he needs to be added to the "Board of Directors" section history. Wasted Time R (talk) 12:53, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- After researching some, I found out that John Eidleman is Senior Program Counsel for Legal Services Corporation. I'll go ahead and add the image in- hopefully it does not get reverted. Should I include the long caption with the image to explain what is going on? Thanks! Meatsgains (talk) 20:26, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
- I think the caption should be much briefer - it should just describe the LSC person and the activity he's involved in. Wasted Time R (talk) 03:01, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- I cut down the caption to the image. Let me know if you think there should be anymore changes. Thanks for the help! Meatsgains (talk) 20:48, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

Skewed Article and Obfuscation by detail
editDuring the Regean area the LSC lobby group has in danger of loosing funding: they flooded congressmen, stimulated newspapers in their favor and pressured local bar associations to pass resolutions. source: THE ENTERPRISE OF LAW: JUSTICE WITHOUT THE STATE — Preceding unsigned comment added by Its me Julian (talk • contribs) 09:50, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you were unhappy about here. The article clearly stated, with sources such as Time magazine and the New York Times, that Reagan hated the idea of the LSC and was trying to eliminate it by zero-funding it. Your changed that to indicate that Reagan was just trying to reduce its budget, which misrepresents the severity of his policy. I have restored this material. Your addition of the material from the Enterprise of Law book is okay, on the other hand, and is still in the article. Wasted Time R (talk) 14:37, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
