While I'm on a roll, are any of The Golden Stag (fairy tale), The Bay-Tree Maiden, The Boys with the Golden Stars, or Stan Bolovan also in the collection? Goldfritha 01:27, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Hy, sorry for the late reply. From what I see on Wikisource and in one of Ispirescu`s book I have at home, none of the above are in Legende sau basmele românilor. However, the name "The Boys with the Golden Stars" reminded me of "Doi feţi cu stea în frunte" (lit. "Two boys with stars on their forehead") by Ioan Slavici which is a story about an emperor and a poor shepherd with three daughters, Ana, Stana and Lăptiţa, who each one either bake magic breads, weave magic shirts or make magic sons, etc. etc. So there`s your tale! Cool. I read his article -- it didn't seem to talk about collecting fairy tales. Did he do that? If not, I would suspect that he based some short stories on the fairy tales.
