I'm not sure that we should have separate pages for Lego Town and Lego City, as they are really both a continuation of the same theme, which has had a series of name changes over time (Legoland -> Lego Town -> Lego World City -> Lego City, and so splitting the articles between Lego Town and Lego City doesn't make much sense. Any thoughts? Otherwise, I'll suggest a merge. Frankie Roberto (talk) 12:04, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'd say merge. The resulting article will be a very long list though... So maybe we should split the articles into: Legoland, Lego Town , Lego World City and Lego City? --Narayan (talk) 13:39, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well, I'm not sure that the lists of sets should be within the articles at all - instead, I've been slowly moving these to separate 'list' articles, (eg List of Lego Indiana Jones sets). See WP:DIRECTORY and WP:LIST for relevant Wikipedia policies (though they're not 100% clear on this issue). So I'd agree with the merge. Frankie Roberto (talk) 14:50, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- I kinda agree. There are 100s of different sets. Also, I feel that the webisodes could sort of be traced back to 1980's advertisements, so I'm not sure if they're worth listing either. There are better sites for that kind of thing. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 09:48, 22 September 2018 (UTC)

Lacks refs, no image. Merge possible into Lego themes. JJ98 (Talk) 10:10, 31 October 2014 (UTC) |

Russian Octan
editApparently there's a real small Russian gas station company called Octan, that - without bothering about trademark issues - had picked up both the green-red logo and name from the Lego gas company. Not sure if that warrants a mention in the article, although it caused some bemused fascination within the Lego fandom. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 12:02, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- Wakuran can you cite the source and then we can decide if this has any importance. Regards Fieryninja (talk) 13:23, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

- Hi Wakuran thanks for the source. I had a look at it and it's not very reliable. Basically it's a few people on the internet who are doing some personal detective work over this small gas company. I checked to see if there are any legal cases related to this in mainstream media but could find no references. Unless it is a subject covered in mainstream media I don't believe we can use it. Fieryninja (talk) 22:49, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- No, I haven't heard about any legal cases. Most of Lego's legal cases have been related to their toy endeavors, and I think they have actually lost several of them, after it was decided that the basic construction of the Lego bricks was picked up from British toy producer Kiddicraft. They could probably be quite wary of taking this to court on Russian soil. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 23:25, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

Bibliography section
editI have my doubts about the bibliography section. It looks more like a laundry list to me, now, considering that most of the books listed mostly are glorified advertisements with puzzles and occasional building instructions, and similar. There's very little encyclopedic information. I think it might be better suited for other sites than Wikipedia. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 13:44, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

- Hi Striker2020 I have had a look through the book and there is a lot of info on City. I don't know whether I will get time to do any work on this in the near future sorry. You can look at it here [2] if you want to work on it yourself. Hope it helps. Fieryninja (talk) 13:17, 2 December 2021 (UTC)

Cleaning up "Reception" Section
editThe list of earnings reports is getting a bit long and tedious; also the phrasing is confusing. I'm tempted to trim this down to the most recent report and clarify the language, but I also want to see if there are any objections to this. UnknownCytoplasm (talk) 03:07, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
