  • Comment Nice article, but the hook should locate the house. And "ended her life" rather implies suicide, which I don't think was ever suspected. There are alternative hooks along the lines of "... that the bottom of the Q of B/Prince of Wales' garden is now in London's Chinatown/became a red light district?" Or "...that the Q of B was born in Scotland and died in Soho?" Johnbod (talk) 12:31, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Either of these better imo, though I find:

hookier. Anyway, time for a proper review, which I wasn't doing. Johnbod (talk) 14:06, 27 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I am not keen on Alt3, Johnbod, at the time London meant the City of London and strictly no more. Moonraker (talk) 11:53, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

  •   @Moonraker: This interesting article is new enough and long enough. The image is in the public domain, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. Several hooks have been suggested, but none is very satisfactory; if you are going to mention the Scotland birthplace, I think it needs to be mentioned in the article, and I doubt the map being sufficient to source the Chinatown hook. You could vary the original hook by not using the quotation, or alternatively, I was interested in the fact that the Earl of Leicester needed "planning permission" before building the house. Thank you, Cwmhiraeth. I see your point about the map, it may have been edited by the uploader to show Chinatown and if so is not a reliable source. I was focussing on Elizabeth Stuart because it’s such a good image, and we could drop her, but I still quite like the main hook, if we take out what Johnbod sees as a hint of suicide, and he is probably right. How about this? Moonraker (talk) 13:15, 21 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • Alt4 ... that a Queen of Bohemia (pictured) died in Westminster at Leicester House, shortly after moving in?
Source: Allen (1829): "This house was for a short time the residence of Elizabeth, daughter of James I, the titular queen of Bohemia, who, on the 13th of February, 1661, here ended her unfortunate life."
