When searched for Leith Athletic F.C. not much came up only something to do with Scottish Football Association. I really want to work on this so if you have anything for me please leave me a message. --Sandove89 15:40, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
Would it not be better to treat both the incarnations of Leith Athletic F.C. as the same club? A number of other Defunct Senior Clubs now have Junior Clubs and the Wikipedian Articles (as well as thier supporters) treat them as the same club. --Drgs100 08:19, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- That is effectively what happens at the moment: there is no separate article for the former league club and all links referring to it come here. I actually disagree with this in Leith's case to be honest, as the new club is certainly not a direct continuation/reformation of the old one. For one they don't play in the same venue: the old Leith Athletic, despite the name, played at Meadowbank, Portobello and off Ferry Road in the main. I would also doubt, because of the 42 year time-gap, whether any fans of the old club would still have been about/interested to transfer allegiance to the new one.
