Portrait of Leo Petrović
  • ... that Leo Petrović (pictured), a notable historian and head of the Herzegovinian Franciscans was murdered by the Yugoslav Partisans as part of their campaign against the Franciscans in Herzegovina?

    • ALT1:... that Leo Petrović (pictured), a Herzegovinian Franciscan and a notable historian, was first to rebuke at the time the predominant Bogomilist theory about the origin of the Bosnian Church? Source: "Na hrvatskoj strani hercegovački franjevac fra Leon Petrović (1883-1945), suprotstavljajući se Gluščevoj tezi o pravoslavnom karakteru Crkve bosanske, u raspravi napisanoj 1944. i posthumno objavljenoj 1953. (2. izd.

Overall:   It appears the nominiator has fewer than 5 DYK credits, so QPQ exception applies. I have slightly tweaked the hook to avoid repeating the term "Herzegovinian Franciscans." Feel free to revert. Passing hook 1. Nicely done. Ergo Sum 20:39, 15 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
