I'm going to float the suggestion of merging this article with León (historical region). The reason is twofold: first, most of what's on this page now (e.g. the history section) applies at least as well to the historical region as to the contemporary political idea; secondly, the proposal for an autonomous community of Leon is grounded in the existence of the historical region. Most of what's in the lede now could be moved to a section of the (thus expanded) article León (historical region). Any objections? Q·L·1968 ☿ 20:49, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
