Copyright violation?
editRegarding the copyright violation tag on the article, the site indicated as the possible originator of the text identifies the source of the first section on that page as the Russian language Wikipedia, so if that is the part you are referring to it seems that there isn't a copyright violation here. --Michig (talk) 14:49, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- Its more complicated then that, the initial revision of the article is much closer to the version at http://www.rumafia.com/person.php?id=69 then the current version. (see http://toolserver.org/~dcoetzee/duplicationdetector/compare.php?url1=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fw%2Findex.php%3Ftitle%3DLeonid_Michelson%26oldid%3D365055470&url2=www.rumafia.com%2Fperson.php%3Fid%3D69&minwords=2&minchars=13) While the site indicates it was sourced from ru.wikipedia, it could well be that the first version of the article here was copied from the translation of the ru.wikipedia article at rumafia. The key question is which came first, the en.wikipedia article or the rumafia one. Either way ru.wikipedia deserves attribution, as the article was clearly translated from it. - Specifically, IF the ru.wikipedia article was translated by someone and posted to rumafia, and then copied here, it would be a copyright violation of the translated version. Monty845 14:36, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
- The other option which occurs uncomfortably often and is the case in this instance is that the ruwiki article was a copyvio in the first place, so then all of the mirrors and translations and everything else are all derivative copyvios. VernoWhitney (talk) 02:38, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Utah bank shielding plane
edit"But in addition to its mom-and-pop customers, the bank has a lesser-known clientele that includes Russia’s richest oligarch, Leonid Mikhelson, an ally of the country’s president, Vladimir V. Putin. The bank served as a stand-in so Mr. Mikhelson could secretly register a private jet in the United States, which requires American citizenship or residency."
