USAF?
editIt seems a bit misleading to mention the USAF, since I thought he worked in England during World War II? Eckert was his counterpart in the US. Perhaps by then US was in the war bombing in Europe and needed his help, but it is not clear. And of course no citations at all, and many of the old links are now dead.
