Voice-Over Work

edit

Why no mention that Leslie did voice-overs for animated TV shows like "Transformers: Beast Wars"?

I'm sure this used to be in the article.

edit

Wasn't Leslie West affectionately called, "The fattest guitarist ever to waddle on stage?" The article is rather politically correct for a rock star. 76.251.28.86 (talk) 00:05, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pinch Harmonics?

edit

I read somewhere that Leslie was the first ever person to extensively use pinch-harmonics. -Wolfinator-x —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.59.126.254 (talk) 20:13, 13 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Leslie West.png

edit

Image:Leslie West.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

edit

Lots of vandalism - needs to be reverted to 22:00, 26 December 2008 74.215.48.189 (Talk) (8,962 bytes) (→Biography) (undo) ... How does one revert back like this? I don't see it in the interface, is that an admin-only feature? Luminifer (talk) 06:02, 29 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Leg

edit

Something to this article must be amended to include the story of his now missing leg section that had to be amputated. im not one for editing the article itself but im sure someone with a good RS can totally verify it and include it and it should be done soon. ill check back in a few days and if not ill take it upon myself to figure out how to do it i guess.--HighallTimes (talk) 00:27, 22 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Amplifiers

edit

I believe, from memory, that Leslie used German-made Stramp amplifiers with the speaker cones cut with razor blades early in his career. Sattara (talk) 00:39, 9 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

This article should mention West's spot hosting Headbangers Ball on MTV - no? MTV HueyLouie2e (talk) 19:52, 14 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Guitars

edit

West also played Hayman guitars in the Seventies.
