Sampled composition
edit@Hayman30: Hello. The footnotes in the Tidal listing for this song say: Fuck It Up Challenge (the sampled composition) written by Telly Brown JR. as used in "Level Up" (the new composition) performed by Ciara.
Wouldn't that be enough to use Tidal as a supporting reference? If not, what kind of source would be appropriate? — Newslinger talk 17:38, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
- I didn't notice that when I was checking the Tidal page, but it didn't mention "We Are Young" at all, which is the actual sampled song. As per E! News,
[...] it samples the Jersey Remix of "We Are Young" (used in the "F--k It Up Challenge")
. If A samples B and B samples C, then A samples C. Hayman30 (talk) 05:40, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

Level Up (Ciara song) → Level Up (song) – There is only one other song with a similar title: Level Up (Sway song). The Ciara song is more the primary topic, as show by page view stats. WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Daily Average Level Up by Ciara 177/day versus Level Up by Sway 3/day >> Lil-unique1 (talk) — 10:41, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:PDAB. 162 etc. (talk) 16:37, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- @162 etc.:, can I ask which bit of PDAB? I think the Ciara song is the primary topic and considering there's only two songs of this same, the other could have a hat note at the Ciara song page. >> Lil-unique1 (talk) — 17:40, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- According to the guideline, "the standard (...) should be tougher than the standard for titles that don't have any disambiguator". Currently, there are only six such PDAB songs on all of Wikipedia. While the Ciara song currently has a clear pageviews advantage, I would expect that to shrink over time as interest in the "Level Up Challenge" fades. Introducing ambiguity in the title does not make this a better article. 162 etc. (talk) 20:41, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose move per above. This isn't a situation where one of the two should take the base title. O.N.R. (talk) 16:48, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose per 162 etc. above.--Ortizesp (talk) 17:55, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
