(in a nutshell) "A person is presumed to be notable if they have received significant coverage in reliablesecondary sources that are independent of the subject."
(as a referral to "{{notability}}") "If you understand the problem that the template highlights ... you may simply remove the maintenance template; it will not be removed automatically."
As can been seen currently, the article contains nine sources: eight of them are from reliable secundary sources, as a matter of fact quality media of Suriname (newspapers "Dagblad Suriname", "De Ware Tijd"; magazine "Parbode"; "Waterkant" is Surinamese-Dutch from Rotterdam). Leaves one, the recording of the funeral: this one has only been used for the dates of birth and death. For these data primary sources are fairly enough the most reliable sources (at least on Dutch Wikipedia decisive in discussions). Very important to note is that there are three media articles with Lex Rijger as a main subject "Dagblad Suriname" once and "De Ware Tijd" twice (one time as an editorial!; "commentaar" in Dutch language). In Rijger's role as a pater familias, there are two articles extra on his family (both in "Parbode"). So according to the guidelines, I have removed the template, with the motivation that the notability is being demonstrated in the article. Ymnes (talk) 17:55, 19 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

What an interesting life. I’m glad it will appear in DYK even though the timeframe has passed for ITNRD. Long enough, new enough, and sufficiently referenced, on foreign language sources accepted in good faith. Neutrally written. QPQ provided. No Earwig pings (of course). I like the first hook best. Good to go! Innisfree987 (talk) 23:07, 22 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
