GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose is "clear and concise", without copyvios, or spelling and grammar errors:
Earwig's Copyvio Detector says 4.8 %, but that is referring to the use of "Battles of Lexington and Concord" and the poem phrase "the shot heard round the world". So, in other words, zip, nada, no copyvio or close paraphrasing shows up.
    B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. Has an appropriate reference section:
    B. Cites reliable sources, where necessary:
    C. No original research:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
    B. Focused (see summary style):
  4. Is it neutral?
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. Is it stable?
    No edit wars, etc:
Article created by Wehwalt on September 2, 2015, and has been the primary editor.
  6. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid fair use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    • 1925 50C Lexington.jpg (image of the coin) - freely licensed on Commons
    • BEP-DELNOCE-Battle of Lexington (Darley).jpg (engraving of Battle of Lexington) - Public Domain
    • Detroit Photographic Company (0390).jpg (Minute Man statue)- Public Domain, per Commons Freedom of panorama United States ...public artwork installed before 1923 is considered to be public domain, and can be photographed freely.
    • Old Belfry, Lexington MA.jpg - Commons Freedom of panorama US ...for buildings completed before December 1, 1990, there is complete FoP
    • Lexington Concord-5c.jpg (US postage stamp issued 1925) - Public Domain
    B. Images are provided if possible and are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
    Captions provided
    Need WP:ALT, per WP:CAP
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
The only thing missing is the ALT text in the images. Everything else looks great.— Maile (talk) 15:06, 24 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Wehwalt: has added the ALT text. This nomination passes.
