Constant reverts on singles chronology
editI've noticed that the article has constantly gone through several reverts based on which song would be placed in the chronology of the infobox. Since no one has openly attempted to bring this to the talk page, I've decided to open the section for anyone to discuss without the article turning into a WP:EDITWAR. Please use this section instead of constant reverting and be mindful of the WP:3RR. — Angryjoe1111 (talk) 10:05, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- First of all, "Shameless" should come before "Liar" because "Shameless" comes before "Liar" in the album's track listing. The other editor seems to be using alphabetical order, but that is just personal preference. The track listing for "Romance" has already been released, and it is official. It is better to use something official to determine the order, instead of personal preference. Therefore the chronology order should have "Shameless" before "Liar". Second of all, "Cry for Me" and "Easy" should be included in the singles chronology. There are reliable sources calling them singles, and none of them call them promotional singles. Some of the sources (there are more): [1] [2] CountyCountry (talk) 10:16, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- @LOVI33: Please read my explanation above as to why "Shameless" comes before "Liar". CountyCountry (talk) 01:42, 16 November 2019 (UTC)
CountyCountry This has been talked about many times before when "Shameless" and "Liar" were first released and it has been in alphabetical order ever since. Firstly, the Romance tracklisting is irrelevant. The album has nothing to do with the singles chronology, the songs are just on the album, that's it. Alphabetical order isn't a personal preference, it's what everything on Wikipedia that is not sorted in dates is sorted in. "Liar" should come before "Shameless" because they were released at the same time but "Shameless" comes after "Liar" in the alphabet so there isn't really another way to sort them. I get the sources for promotional single vs official single but not the "Liar" and "Shameless" order. See the Romance article talk page, it talks more about this. That is a more general article that this. LOVI33 (talk) 03:16, 16 November 2019 (UTC)
- @LOVI33:Thanks for answering my request. I see what you mean by how the track listing is irrelevant. The singles chronology order for "Liar" and "Shameless" will need to be changed to fit alphabetical order. CountyCountry (talk) 03:27, 16 November 2019 (UTC)
Who REALLY wrote what?
editSomeone was probably being cute when they listed the credits, because it is hard to believe that all these people actually wrote the song (apart from the credits given because of something mentioned earlier): "It was written by Camila Cabello, Alexandra Tamposi, Andrew Wotman, Jonathan Bellion, Jordan Johnson, Stefan Johnson, Jenny Berggren, Jonas Berggren, Malin Berggren, Ulf Ekberg and Lionel Richie, and produced by Wotman, The Monsters and the Strangerz and Bellion."
I would like to know who wrote the lyrics. And I would like to know who composed the music. If a whole pile of people actually wrote this, I would like to know how that worked.

- @Misty MH: No, they weren't cute, this is the accurate list of songwriters per ASCAP (can also be verified elsewhere). The article explains how some of it came to be: the song samples/interpolates songs by Richie and Ace of Base and the writers of these songs deserve credit. --Muhandes (talk) 13:49, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
