editI researched and wrote my additional pieces for this page, had it reviewed by classmates and edited it, then had it approved by my professor, and now have moved all my contributions over. Thank you. Shireenzameen (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:53, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
Under section of Cultivation, it could expand on how to propagate the plant with information from University of Wisconsin Horticulture Extension: http://hort.uwex.edu/articles/liatris/
A new section can be created with the uses (mostly medicinal) for the plant.
- Western New England University's College of Pharmacy refers to American Indians using it to
reduce swelling, abdominal pain, and antidote for snake bites.
— Western New England University's College of Pharmacy, http://www1.wne.edu/pharmacy/medicinal-garden/index.cfm - Bureau of Land Management in CO says
The plant may be steeped into a tea and gargled for the treatment of sore throats. Its leaves and roots are found in herbal insect repellents and in potpourri.
- Ohio Northern University cites a few other places with similar information https://webstu.onu.edu/garden/node/453

Additions I'd like to make to Liatris spicata:
- add more photos. It's a beautiful flower, but it's hard to tell from the current photos.
- describe more about cultivation
- add a little about where and how it grows, natively and in cultivation. Is it affected by invasive species at all? Are there other benefits of the plant?
- I already added a section about its medicinal uses, but this could be expanded on
