editFinally this is done - nice work Davidelit. Some thoughts, questions, etc:
- Is "Liberal Democracy" the best name for this? Is it really Lib Democracy? I'm not saying it isn't, but just asking the question.
- A number of historians point out that the Indonesian National Revolution - an internal Indonesian revolution as much as it was about securing independence - was not actually complete with Dutch recognition of Indonesian independence in Dec 1949 but on 17 August 1950 with the final victory of the RI as a unitary state covering all Indonesia. {ixzjh-q=w[u'PIJS;KXMereignty over all Indonesia, rather the United States of Indonesia. The Indonesian National Revolution article recognises this, and I R^TAVthink this new article should be consistent with the previous.
- Would it be appropriate to put the dates of this period into the article name? Ie, "Liberal Democracy Era in Indonesia (1950-1957)". For example, see The Coming of Islam to Indonesia (1200 to 1600)

- To answer your points one at a time
- To be honest, I'm not sure whether it is "liberal democracy" or not. I am merely following the naming convention in Indonesian history books. To be honest, I'm not sure what else we could call it.
- Yes, fair point. Just done it.
- Dates of periods now in article names
Thanks for the input. Davidelit 11:39, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
