List-defined references: how-to

edit

For adding references using the list-defined references structure as a logged-in user:

  1. click the "edit" link in the References section in a way that starts editing in a new panel (e.g. with some versions of firefox: right-mouse-button on "edit" and "open link in new tab")
  2. return to your original panel, and click on "edit" in the section you wish to edit
  3. edit both the panel with the References section (adding the named reference details in a similar style to the others) and the panel of the section you wish to edit
  4. preview/edit/preview/edit/preview both panels as many times as you need to,
  5. when you are happy with both, save both at (almost) the same time.
  6. You will get a temporary error message in one of these two panels. Wait a few seconds and reload the page in that panel (e.g. control R, or F5 button, on some versions of firefox) and you should see the page without error messages.
  7. Cleanup: you can now safely delete one of the panels.
