Both Air Force crew members died??? Don't think so
editThis Wikipedia entry says that both of the MiG crew members died. But I know somebody who's father was on that plane, and the family tell me that the two crew members were put on trial. Who was put on trial? Was it the pilots, or maybe air traffic controllers??? Thanks in advance to anybody who knows. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.151.4.245 (talk) 13:48, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
To add (sorry now no time to neatly do this, please someone else!)
editThe Libyan government claimed that the crash was due to the UN economic embargo which banned of sale of aircraft spare parts. Gaddafi has been accused of being behind the crash in order to blame the West.

And in answer to the above question: indeed one of the refs here mentioned confirms that the air force crew members did not die. Harald88 (talk) 10:51, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
Second of B727 photo
editShould we add another photo of 5A-DIA ? This aircraft has English titlle on the right side of the aircraft, but using Arabic titlle on the left side of the aircraft. Tô Ngọc Khang (talk) 15:37, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
