I have added a route table showing the original route of the Wyrley and Essington Canal. This has been done using Google Maps (satellite view) to extract the WGS84 coordinates, using the Lichfield and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust map, Ordnance Survey 1 inch (3rd edition 1895, revised 1909), and Ordnance Survey 1:25000 mapping. A Satmap GPS device was used to read 8-figure OSGB36 references from a visual inspection of its 1:25000 map, and not based on an actual GPS reading. OosoomTalk09:54, 30 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
