Adding some details
editDon't know if needed but I miss:
-Focus on Eucharist (source & summit), relational ministry, dedication to Mary.
-Sticking to (positively as I see it) Roman-Catholic laws (so no 'semi-Catholicism') and liturgy
-Locations of LifeTeen. I know there is some also in Canada, SouthAfrica, Australia, Asia, Europe (Germany, Italy). In Netherlands, LifeTeen is also expanding from 2 to 4 (or even 6) in the near future.
Over Wikipedia, I am missing articles about central people of Life Teen: Matt Maher, Randy Raus, Lisa Epperson, Phil Baniewicz, Tom Booth (and their links in either LifeTeen and CCM-articles). I believe these are the founders of the new era of Catholicism and articles may become necessary in the future.
As this is the English version and not the Dutch one, I do not know if this info is relevant and how to write this all objectively.
Just a quick note: As posted on LT.com, the name is now "Life Teen", not all caps. Edits made on page. Also, my 'summary' of the new name change may be insufficient or unclear. Someone else probably could spruce it up nicer? Also, would it plausible to put a new screen shot of LifeTeen.com? The new layout has changed drastically from the posted picture. Anyone? editI am surprised that no one has written an opposition article to this? As a Conservative Traditionalist Catholic I despise the approach that lifeteen has given to the Eucharist. It is a loss of catholic identity! I refuse to write anything about the objections to Lifeteen because of my extreme bias against it but there are many young males and females like me who are longing for the return to a more solemn tradition mass. Fr. Dale Fushek
editAlthough there's a link to Fr. Dale Fushek, it seems there should at least be a brief note about the fact that the founder of LifeTeen is currently awaiting trial on some pretty extreme sex-abuse charges. Wasn't there also a related scandal with Fr. Fushek's lawyer being on the Board of Directors of LifeTeen? These are just some items that should be investigated and included in the interest of full-disclosure.

It seems to me, although scandalous, the accusation against Fushek are still part of the Life Teen story and should be included. Information could also be included about how the Life Teen organization responded the the scandal.
It seems difficult to post any verifiable news about the accusations or their outcome, with the lack of actual news on the subject. Without an actual news source, posts will end up as hearsay, which can/will quickly change.
If anything - you should take this whole section out. This does not define life teen, and really has nothing to do with it anymore. It should not even be mentioned. Everybody is past this, and to keep it around will only do damage to a perfectly fine organization. It's corrupting the teens that are already involved. editSomeone added a reference to critiscm on the music by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, with indeed a quotation of the USCCB-document "Sing to the Lord: Music in Divine Worship". However, the quotation seems to imply that the music played during LifeTeen-masses IS considered as these being described as 'cheapening' the Liturgy in the document. However:
1) The quotation is too limited to show this link
2) The composition of LifeTeen-songs is obviously theologically well thought of and there is a pastoral approach to the music in relation to the Mass. I met some of these musicians myself and they have a very clear view about what sacred Liturgy is and what (humble) role their music should play in the totality of the Lord's Sacrifice. I could imagine that would the document refers to is music like "Jingle Bells" or other almost-profane songs; or parishes putting more stress on music than on the Liturgy itself. LifeTeen's use of this music comes from a very different point of view and therefore I am not convinced about the inclusion of LifeTeen-music into this part of the document.
3) Comparison between regular music and 'contemporary Christian music' is not clear to me at all. The music used in LifeTeen is produced on a very different basis than regular popmusic. Musicians tend to be very ethical in commercial actions and live up to the high standards God is asking from us through His Church. All lyrics are centered on the mysteries of our beliefs and really try to put their focus on the Eucharist and Jesus. Furthermore I believe there is a lot more creativity in the used christian music than in regular pop-music. So to say, I also find it difficult to hear a difference between the Stabat Mater-hymn and a profane classical-music part (Nevertheless I still like them both).
I also would like to warn that criticism resulting from a difference of taste is no valid criticism, when regarding the Celebration of the Lord's own good works. There may be some (or a lot) exceptions, parishes that use the name LifeTeen just to make their liturgy sound 'cool', but this has and never will be the intention of LifeTeen.
Plus: To my experience, 'progressive' music does in no way establish a too 'progressive' ministry. I have been in other parishes where traditional music is played but homily and other pastoral actions are far off the guidelines by the Roman-Catholic Church.

History Section
editUser:Instaurare and I have spent a few weeks reverting edits made by anon that talk about Dale Fuschek's many troubles and the response of Life Teen to them. Among other things, these edits violate WP:NPOV and WP:BLP, the latter of which states that "Contentious material about living persons (or in some cases, recently deceased) that is unsourced or poorly sourced – whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable – should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion." This material hits on all counts - it is contentious, it is about a living person, and it is unsourced (which is not to say that it isn't true). In addition, it is written with a clear bias and tone. Additionally, this information is about Fushek himself, not about Life Teen. It belongs on his article, not here.
After several reverts, and putting a warning on anon's talk page, they persisted in adding the material. I reported anon at the administrators notice board. Shortly after it appears User:Lifeteenadmirer created an account, and then reverted the same old unsourced, POV material about Fushek to the article. I believe anon and Lifeteenadmirer are the same person. I'm willing to work with this new user to improve the article, but not if they are going to insist on violating Wikipedia's core policies. --Briancua (talk) 20:46, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
