reform and life sentences without parole

edit

I'd like to ask for clarification on some of the issues here, especially on the reform and life sentences without parole. Nowadays, prisoners with a life sentence are entitled after 10 years to have their sentence determined. In this page [1] it says, life sentences without parole are possible. Does this mean that the "after-10-year" entitlement does not apply to LIWOP? Mootros (talk) 12:12, 30 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

It doesn't mention Sweden, except for what you have above... soooooo I'd say from that source we don't know? But if we think about it logically... if they can get LWOP, then I'd assume no... but it may or may not be enforced all the time, or maybe only for not as severe crimes. The above document is form 2008 and the reform begun in 2006? So there may well be a dual system of LWOP and a "after-10-year" entitlement. More sources we need, I guess. Mootros (talk) 12:49, 30 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
